Genkan

This entrance will hopefully change quite a bit.

From this angle you would see the water feature where the bench is and the entrance area.

We'd like to raise the roofline here to create a 'gable' that invites you into the home.

The location of the current door will become open outdoor space. The new door will be on the north wall of the corridor.

We are thinking this wall will be bumped in about 4 feet, creating the Genkan - a transitional entry area leading up to the door.

You will walk in and a door to a powder room will be on your left, a window out to the front garden (with water feature) on your right, and you will enter with views into the home and down to the river.
