Replace large window with canopy style - extend this window into the area with the long louvered jalacy window.

Corner window remains.

Replace all lower 'louvered jalacy windows' with transoms.

Keep koa wood corner wall.

Retexture ceilings... keep open and light style. Consider a very light wood (bamboo)

Remove soffits from living areas OR remove wood trim and round all edges and corners and treat just like walls (plaster) to open & lighten things up. Update lighting to bounce/move light throughout the space.
